SUMMER CAMP
The Chief Okemos Council is your headquarters for summer camp. Come in for
all your camping supplies including mosquito netting, flashlights, and other
cool camping gear. Don't forget to stop by and get your official Scout shorts
and other uniform parts to look great at summer camp! -->
Uniform Bank
Chief Okemos Council has a small “Uniform Bank” of used, donated
BSA clothing. We are in desperate need of Cub Scout clothing for
families who cannot afford new uniforms. Our last Cub Scout shirt
was handed out recently to a very appreciative and proud new Wolf
Scout. Please check your closets and drawers for outgrown, no-longer-needed
BSA uniform components. They can be put to good use! Drop off
any Uniform Bank donations to Natalie Service at the Council
Service Center.
Patrol Emblems
The patrol is a group of Scouts who belong to a troop and who are probably similar in age, development, and interests. The patrol method allows Scouts to interact in a small group outside the larger troop context, working together as a team and sharing the responsibility of making their patrol a success. A patrol takes pride in its identity, and the members strive to make their patrol the best it can be. The wearing of a Patrol Emblem is a tangible way for a scout to identify with the rest of his patrol. The Scout Shop carries a complete inventory of patrol emblems, to help your scouts decide on a patrol emblem a here is a pdf file showing all available emblems.
